As qualified hypnotherapists, we can help resolve a range of issues for you, using safe and effective techniques.
As all qualified hypnotherapists know, Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool in addressing anxieties, compulsions and habits that may be preventing you from achieving healthy lifestyle changes.
Hypnotherapy allows for the relaxation and encouragement of your subconscious mind. It lets you revisit and redefine negative thoughts and influences. It can also be used to help you envisage and experience threatening scenarios, so you can retrain the way you respond to situations that have previously been worrying or traumatic.
When in the care of a properly qualified hypnotherapist, you retain complete control over your actions at all times.
How Hypnotherapy works.
Hypnotherapy is a gentle but extremely useful tool. When you work with qualified hypnotherapists, you are guided (with your full knowledge and collaboration), into what’s known as the ‘trance state’.
This is the same state of deep relaxation that you enter multiple times each day as your mind wanders from a situation you are actually involved in.
You are fully conscious and in complete control of your actions throughout the process.
Yet while you are in the trance state, you will be more open to suggestions, and sufficiently relaxed to be able to revisit situations, circumstances or eventualities from your past which may be contributing to the anxieties, habits or other problems that you are struggling with.
The key is that though your conscious mind is completely aware of what’s going on, your subconscious is free to accept the suggestion of positive thoughts and ideas.
Using this fact, qualified hypnotherapists like myself can generally change fixed, negative ideas into strong, positive attitudes.
I think one of the benefits to Hypnotherapy is it provides a solution quite quickly. This was certainly welcome in my case. I was having trouble sleeping, and within two sessions, it had improved greatly. I now sleep very well again, and am very
grateful to Paul.
Is Hypnotherapy safe when practiced by a qualified Hypnotherapist?
I have been a qualified hypnotherapist since 2008 and in that time have used hypnotherapy with great success to help countless clients.
No client has come to any kind of harm, and no one has done anything they did not want to do or would not have felt comfortable doing if not under hypnosis.
(Hypnotherapy has nothing whatsoever to do with the theatrical hypnotism we have all seen on TV.)
In clinical practice, you as the client remain conscious and in control, throughout.
Were I to suggest to you anything at all that you did not wish to do (which of course neither I nor any other qualified hypnotherapist would ever do) you would know as surely as if I had asked you in the street, and you would decline.
So you are totally safe and secure while being treated using hypnotherapy, and can be encouraged to do only those things that your conscious mind wishes to do.
Conditions commonly treated by Hypnotherapy.
As a qualified hypnotherapist, I’ve used Hypnotherapy with great success to help
clients overcome or learn to manage a very wide
range of challenges. You can read about these on
my Concerns & Issues pages, but certain problems
come up with particular frequency, and are generally helped very successfully.
Anxieties can be helped greatly by using Hypnotherapy to relax the subconscious mind, enabling you to experience for yourself ways to create a state of calmness when confronted by situations in which
Hypnotherapy is extremely successful with clients
who are having difficulty in losing weight due to having formed obstructive beliefs that to do so would actually be beyond their capability.
Similarly, by relaxing the subconscious, Hypnotherapy is very successful in helping clients who have convinced themselves that they were incapable of giving up smoking, no matter how much they might wish to.
