There was recently an unusual frenzy in the media over Sophie Dahl and Lily Allen and their new body shapes. These two celebrities - and very many more since - have attributed their achievements and continuing body-size maintenance to Hypnodieting.

So let's find out exactly what Hypnodieting is, and why it is so powerful.

The concept of weight loss under hypnosis, or weight loss hypnotherapy, has been around for many years and has long been acknowledged as one of the most highly effective weight-control methods that there are. Many Hypnotherapists have in the past offered their own approaches to hypnodieting, but until recently, a complete programme encompassing all aspects of weight loss and weight control through hypnosis - including specialist advice regarding nutrition and exercise - has simply not been available.

Hypnosis, as we know, can be an extraordinarily powerful tool for promoting changes in behaviour, and the behaviour that leads to excess weight gain and the seeming inability to lose weight and keep it off, is no different. It is however, a far more complex issue than just a simple change of habit. The powerful and complicated relationship that develops around food and eating requires a great deal of understanding if it is to be changed in a way that is as deep and meaningful enough to become permanent. It is also incredibly important that you understand how to change your eating habits in a practical way, and how to use the idea of body movement to promote and maintain weight loss.

My Hypnodieting course addresses all of these issues within one complete programme.

The Hypnodieting programme is designed to run over six sessions, during which you, the client, will enjoy full support. You are embarking on a journey of quite fundamental change in your behaviour and your habits, and I think it is so important that you feel encouraged and supported throughout.

I place a great deal of emphasis in firstly learning as much about you as I can, and we will be spending a lot of time during our first session exploring your existing ideas and beliefs about weight loss. It is here that we can look more closely at your relationship with food; your previous experiences with dieting; and what you truly feel about exercise. You will also learn about 'emotional eating' and why this is so powerful and why regular diets cannot address this. We will then use the knowledge we have gained together to make sure that the programme is personalised and exactly right for you. Everybody is different, and with something as deeply personal as weight loss, you must feel entirely comfortable with your goals when we begin.

Over the next sessions, you will come to understand exactly what it is that has prevented you from losing weight in the past, or what it is that stops you from keeping weight off that you have previously lost. You will learn just what to do to maintain this wonderful new healthy life-style, while also becoming more confident; more relaxed; and feeling a whole lot better about yourself.

The programme is designed to help you in all aspects of your life; and to bring you to the peak of your potential both physically and mentally.
